Lowe Alpine Testimonials

Shape Magazine - http://www.shape.com/
will
be featuring the Lowe Alpine Dryflo Seamless Tank in its upcoming
June issue. This is sure to increase interest and awareness to Lowe
Alpine and its inspiring new spring clothing collection.

Shape Magazine -
http://www.shape.com
I’m pleased to say
that Lowe Alpine has received some continued mention, this time
coming in the July edition of Shape Magazine. On page 126, the
GETFIT section features 2 of our pieces – Seamless Tank and Seamless
Tee (note that we’re the only brand to receive 2 products!) I’m
working on getting an image for you but figured I’d share in the
meantime.

Sweat Shirts
Only masochists still wear cotton or
scratchy old synthetics in the gym or on the trail. Now, it's all about
seamless garments.
Add the seam to the gear endangered species
list along with wooden tennis rackets and external-frame backpacks. The
best new synthetic shirts, which dry four times faster than cotton,
feature seamless technology: different weights and textures smoothly
knit into one fabric. Although you still need some seams to attach the
sleeves, companies are trying to minimize the amount. This increases
comfort and performance because stitches add bulk, cause chafin g,
and prevent perspiration from evaporating. We sweat-tested 10 shirts by
hiking, running, cycling, and lifting weights and picked our favorite
four. --Joel Weber

Lowe Alpine | Dry Zone Crew
Made from a nylon mix that's luxurious against the skin and features
various fast-wicking seamless zones, this close-fitting shirt is ideal
for both the gym and trail, especially on morning runs, when its 5.2-oz
weight adds warmth. Bonus: The long torso will cover your belly button
even when you stretch. [$55;

Renews Asolo and Lowe Alpine Contract
Greetings all,
We
are pleased to announce that Tomaz Humar, one of the most
accomplished expedition climbers in the world has renewed his
contract with Asolo and Lowe Alpine for the next three years.
Known
as an all-around nice guy with nerves of steel and a VERY firm
handshake (for those of you who have not shaken his hand, you’ve
been warned), Tomaz has climbed many of the world’s highest
mountains. His constant quest for exploration has led him to many
remote places in this planet and his book NO IMPOSSIBLE
WAYS brings descriptions (both written and photographed) of
Humar´s most important mountaineering ascents.
As an
official sponsor, Tomaz Humar will be wearing Asolo footwear and
Lowe Alpine apparel and packs for all his climbs and expeditions
around the world.

Thanks,

Lowe Alpine’s Mintaka 25 Pack (WOMENS) was awarded BEST IN TEST 2005
in Britain’s Best Selling Walking Magazine,
Country Walking.
The Mintaka 25 was up against formidable competitors such as Deuter
and Jack Wolfskin but in the end Lowe Alpine was
TRIUMPHANT!!!
The mention can be found in the March 2005 issue on page 117.
Here’s what the editors had to say about the winning pack:
Comfort & Fit 10/10
The back system and harness fitted me exceptionally well, and the
narrow, padded and contoured shoulder straps felt comfortable, even
with a heavy load. The chest strap also has a wide range of
adjustment. The back system has lots of padding and the load sits
nice and close, feeling snug and stable.
Performance 8/10
The top pocket is big and there are two ample side pockets, plus an
elasticated front pocket – useful for carrying wet clothes or a
map. Good to see space for a hydration system, and a rain cover.
VERDICT
4 stars out of 5
A stable rucksack with a streamlined design, roomy interior and good
pockets. The back system and harness are comfortable – much thought
has gone into making them fit the female form.
