| Testimonials “It’s so difficult to wash
the inside of a drysuit without leaving it permanently damp – especially
the boots. Aside the smell, there is also the additional problem of
rotting glue and stitches. Dampire is a powerful ‘chemical sponge’ that
can be easily regenerated time after time to provide thorough and
effective drying without the need for heat, warmth – or effort.”
“After the first days diving my suit had the usual dampness inside due
to perspiration. I hung the Dampire bags midway down the legs and hung
it up overnight in the garage. The next morning, amazingly, I found the
suit was dry as a bone. I followed this procedure all week and had a
perfectly dry suit with the minimum of fuss.”
The verdict :
Dry as a bone
Performance 9/10
Value 9/10
“Like
many good ideas, this one is so obvious I can’t understand why I didn’t
think of it first. You simply lower the bag down the leg of your drysuit
and leave it inside your boot. When buying a drysuit it makes sense to
buy a Dampire kit too.”
“Dry out with this. Instead
of hanging wet kit over a radiator, stuff a couple of these inside it.
The Dampire bags sucks out moisture and traps it so it can’t get back to
your kit.”
“Damp
boots will become an unpleasant aspect of drysuit diving consigned to
the history books if you start using Dampire (DryZone). Dampire is now
available to sport divers and should be in every kitbag.”
“BUY THIS! When kit gets damp it can stay damp and rot. In order to
prevent this, Dampire is a device for absorbing moisture from equipment
for almost any sport. It’s portable and can be regenerated quickly on a
radiator or in a microwave after use.”
“It
works – the Dampire managed to pull the better part of an Austrian snow
drift from my walking boot in a couple of hours. It draws all the
moisture in and locks it away inside. To dry it out again place it on a
radiator or in the microwave.”
Verdict : Indispensable for the outdoors.
“What’s the story? Great
new way to dry out wet gear. Why buy? Wet gear rots and using paper
isn’t fast. We tested Dampire against traditional newspaper. In each
case we filled the boots with water and allowed it to soak into the
lining for 8 hours. In leather lined Gore-tex, leather boots and running
shoes the Dampire worked much better than newspaper.”
