In my own words-

“My love for everything outdoors started at a very young age.  From setting gorilla traps in the back yard of my parents home in the Chicago suburbs to exploring every inch of the creek that ran behind our house.  This passion for being outside has never died in me and I have since become a dedicated climber, backpacker, and general outdoorsman.  I am very fortunate to have a family that supports both my interest in climbing and the goals I have set for other outdoor pursuits.  Over the years, I have enjoyed trips to the Red River Gorge, Hueco Tanks, Utah, and many of the Southeastern bouldering destinations.

My career in the outdoor industry started with a Chicago based gear shop called Erehwon Mountain Outfitters.  It was a place I was extremely happy to call home and really loved that it allowed for me to help other people experience the outdoors.  I always felt my job was less about the selling gear and more about getting people out of the house and into the wild.  When things came together with AAO I definitely felt like it was a good fit.  I love working in a small family type business and the opportunities presented to me in this position allow me to meet and be inspired by thousands of people in the outdoor industry.  See you out there!”
