“As the principal rep, I have been in the outdoor industry for over 18 years and have been repping for 8 years. Prior to that I was a store manager, buyer, and part owner in Ames, IA. It has, since the inception of the idea of moving to the repping side of the industry, been my vision that through our company we could redefine the repping industry by the approach we take in our day to day operations and innovative selling tools. We strive to redefine the relationships with our dealers, our footprint in the industry and our manner of making “the sale”. I have continually worked hard to find and represent the best of class in every category/company we take on, and it shows!
Generally speaking, rep groups split their territories by states assigned to certain people. My philosophy is that we all have strengths and weaknesses. In light of that, as a team we are much stronger when individually focused on particular aspects of the job at hand than we would be if we split areas out evenly. We do have specified areas for clinicing and certain lines that we are brand managers of, but the team mentality makes us much more dynamic and efficient.”
Implus and Sole brand manager- Brian is the main liaison between vendor and dealer and contact for line acquisition and crisis management. He is in charge of managing sponsored athletes, donation/athlete requests and assists in decision making on AAO event participation. He’s also the ringleader of some very talented and motivated individuals. His background is in climbing mostly, with a fair bit of other outdoor pursuits accompanying that love such as ultra running, kayaking and snowboard (to name a few), which lends him a lot of floor level credibility. You name it he’s probably done it or would like to. It is truly a passion for outdoor pursuits that has him in this industry. He floats to cover it all, but specializes in IA, IL, MO, MN.
