Preseason Deadline SOON!

It has been a real pleasure to see many of you at the shows over the last 2 months.  I’m sure that we’ll be seeing you in-store before you know it.  If there is anything that you need from us, don’t hesitate to ask.

Please do remember the upcoming due dates for Preseason orders.  We hope that you look forward to taking

We’re MOVING!

We will be just down the road from our old location, and we are very excited about the new space! The new address is:

23790 Glenwood Circle

You will also be receiving updated post cards in the mail soon regarding our new office address and phone number. Everyone’s email and personal numbers as well as the mobile fax number are still correct.

Where in the World is AAO?

This month will start out a bit more relaxed and end a bit crazy, but we will be where we usually are: on the road! The first couple weeks will find Brian, Sunday and Vanessa in places like Madison, Des Moines and Colorado. Then off on the great clinicing tour detailed before.

advantage of the opportunities that we strive to provide you with the lines that we currently represent.  In order to take advantage of those opportunities, all of our lines request the preseason submission no later then March 15, 2007.

Thanks for your continued support.  Have a great Day!

Trade show appointments:

We will still have many trade show appointments available for the upcoming Madison trade show. I know that many of you requested to be contacted closer to the date and I will be doing that shortly, but if you have a specific time  in mind now, please drop me an email at Vanessa@goaao.com or call 515-451-8015 for all your scheduling needs.

We had such a great time showing at OR and SIA, we are really looking forward to seeing all of you that we haven’t yet had the opportunity to prior at MWSRA!!!

Order deadlines:

After such a crazy couple of weeks doing trade show appointments, we know the last thing you want to do is write orders! But don’t forget, for preseason terms, the due date for Marmot is March 15th! It is coming up sooner than we can imagine.

Not to mention all the great deals from our other companies like Zeal Optics, Snow Peak and Axis!! If you have orders to send into us, send them to spark@goaao.com. Sunday is ready and excited to help!

Marmot on the cover to Backpacker Magazine!!!

The Marmot Eiger 45 is on the front cover of the recently released Backpacker Gear Guide 2007! We are very excited about this pack and are happy to be featured in such a prestigious publication. If you don’t have these in your store, you might want to think about getting a few in. This fast and light pack is a must have for quick alpine descents, light hiking or just a great haul bag for gear. If you have any questions, just let us know!

Where in the world is AAO?

January was littered with side adventures. Brian and Vanessa got an opportunity to head out to Ouray Ice Festival and climb some amazing ice. Vanessa’s first ice climbing adventure! We also met up with Brian Rashap, warranty manager for Marmot, and took him out on ice for his first time too! Pretty exciting. For more on this adventure, check out our blog at www.aaotalesfromtheroad.blogspot.com.

We followed up our Ouray outing by meeting up with Sunday in Las Vegas for the SIA show--which was action packed with lots of great feedback on the F07 Marmot Line.   The AAO Trio then set off for Salt Lake City and Outdoor Retailer. We really had a great time seeing those of you we were able to see at those shows. Thanks! After the trade shows it is a quick travel break before meeting up with some of you at MWSRA.

But there is no rest for the wicked! We will begin our clinic scheduling and touring soon. Speaking of that…

Clinic Tours, starting soon!

The middle of March looks like it is going to be the kickoff for the Spring 07 clinic tour. We are already starting to fill these days in an effort to make our travels more efficient and hopefully create opportunities to see more of you. So look forward to a call or email soon regarding scheduling.

January 2007- vol. 1 issue 4

 Happy New Year from AAO!

Hope this newsletter finds everyone reeling from a wonderful and successful selling season! Now that the busy holiday season has passed, it is time for the crazy trade show/order writing frenzy! We are scheduling appointments now and look forward to seeing all of you soon. We wanted to thank you for letting us be a part of your business in 2006 and look forward to working with all of you in the New Year to make this the best selling year for your company yet!

Trade Shows!!!

Well, the time is almost upon us. We are scheduling for SIA, OR and MWSRA right now! I will start the calling campaign shortly, but if you are feeling ready to schedule now, a list of available times can be found on this website’s home page. Just click on the “AAO Trade Show Calendar” and view all the times available.

Then, email: Vanessa@goaao.com and I can write in the time you prefer, with a confirmation email to follow. Based on preshows, it has been taking around 2 hours for Marmot and .5-1 hour for all the other companies. Just let me know what works for you! IF you are not attending any trade shows and would like information sent to your company, let me know that as well. Thanks.

Event Request

As a way to ensure we get everyone’s event covered this year, we have two forms we are currently using that you can access on the website. They are located under “Event Listing” and are labeled “Event Request” and “Donation Request”. These are for you to specify exactly what you need so that we know best how to fill that need. It does state at the bottom that we request they be turned in 45 days in advance just so we are sure one of us can make it to your event. If you need a copy emailed for your files, just let me know!

Where in the World is AAO?

The next month will be busy for AAO. Brian and Vanessa will be out at the Ouray Ice Festival Jan. 10-14th in Ouray, CO. Then it is down to Las Vegas for some climbing and SIA, where we will meet up with Sunday again. From there, the three of us will be road trippin’ up to SLC for the OR show. On the road and loving it!

Marmot Fall 07 Preshow Feedback

The line was so well received! We were so pleased at the number of dealers telling us they were so confused on what NOT to bring in. That is a great problem to hear about. With the line being 70% redesigned, it was very exciting for us to take it out on the road and show it off! We look forward to showing it to all those attending trade shows coming up!
